Martlet Capital is an early-stage investor based in Cambridge, providing patient capital to deep tech and life sciences B2B startups with high growth potential.

Martlet Capital has invested in more than 75 start-ups since its launch in 2011. Martlet has now deployed its primary balance sheet fund and continues to support its existing portfolio with co-investment from EMV Capital.

Martlet’s operational VC business is owned and portfolio managed by EMV Capital, the VC investor specialising in high-growth deep tech and life sciences companies.

The combined Martlet and EMV team is comprised of experienced investors and entrepreneurs. In addition to capital, they offer support, experience and a network of contacts.

Martlet has achieved several exits from its portfolio, from trade sales to global technology companies and IPOs. Notable exits include Abcam, Arachnys, Audio Analytic, Cambridge CMOS Sensors, Flusso, Frontier Developments and Spectral Edge.
